What:  Caldecott Tunnel - The 4th and last bore!

Randy Anderson will be presenting a very informative session on the design and construction challenges and solutions for the fourth two lane tunnel section of State Route 24 in the East Bay.

Presently in charge of Design –Construction Support for the Caldecott project.  Randy was the technical task manager/oversight engineer during the design phase of Caldecott, which started in 2000 and ended in 2008, In charge of Design –Conscaldecott tunneltruction Support for Contract 4 of Doyle Drive, which includes a 1000 ft long cut and cover tunnel next to the National Cemetery. Randy was the technical task manager during the design phase of the Contract 4. Randy is also the tunnel oversight engineer for the new Public Private Partnership design phase of the remaining 3 tunnels on the Doyle Drive Project.  He was also  the contract manager/technical oversight engineer for the seismic retrofit of the Posey and Webster St. Tubes in Alameda County.. Randy was the contract manager for a portion of the replacement structures (I880 Replacement Project) for the collapsed Cypress Viaduct in Oakland. Randy is also a member of the Tunnel technical committee.  He is also a volunteer with Office of Emergency Services Post Disaster Assessment Program.
